These sockets are necessary when rebuilding your split rims. They allow you to undo your existing bolts and torque up your new bolts. This set comes complete with a socket to lock into the front head of the bolt and one to lock into the rear of the nut.
SPECS: This socket set comprises of both a 8mm and a 10mm socket. This socket set allows 12 Point Bolts and 12 Point nuts to be loosened and tightened. They require a 1/2" drive. Manufactured from chrome vanadium steel hardened, tempered, chrome plated and polished for corrosion protection. Chamfered end allows positive nut location.
TORQUE: The torque setting for bolts is dependent on the set of wheels you have. The average torque figure for a set of three piece wheels is 22ft/lbs and 15ft/lbs for two piece wheels. We recommend that all split rim wheel rebuilds are done by a professional split rim wheel refurber. Always tighten from the nut end, however we understand that on some wheels this may not be possible.
